SAP Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Mannheim, Germany. It was opened in 2005 and serves as the home arena of the ice hockey team Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. The arena can seat around 15,000 spectators for sporting events and up to 18,000 for concerts, making it one of the largest indoor arenas in Germany.
The arena is operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and was named after the German software company SAP AG, which is headquartered in nearby Walldorf. In addition to ice hockey games, the arena hosts a wide range of events, including concerts, basketball games, wrestling matches, and circus performances.
The SAP Arena features state-of-the-art technology, including innovative LED lighting systems and advanced sound systems. It also has several restaurants and bars, as well as VIP lounges and conference rooms. The arena has hosted some of the world's biggest musical acts, including Metallica, The Rolling Stones, and Madonna.
